Specialised vehicles: Fire trucks
IASISTING is the only distributor in Romania of the specialised intervention vehicle MEINICKE MB - VARIO 816 DA (Germany).
We support thus the efforts made by the local government for providing security against fire and for intervention in various emergency situations, bearing in mind the situation in the territory and the current legislation.
According to the provisions of articles 13 and 14 of Law no. 307/2006 concerning fire protection, local councils and mayors have the following obligations:
- the Local Council must provide, from the local budget, the needed funds for the organisation, equipment, operation of the established volunteer emergency services, as well as for the fulfilment of their legally-assigned tasks, and controls the use of these funds;
- the Local Council must include in its yearly budget the necessary funds for insuring the equipment of volunteer emergency services, for cases of damage, destruction and other events, as well as for insuring the intervention personnel against personal harm and material damages, for cases of invalidity or death caused by accidents, catastrophes or similar events that occur during and because of their carrying out their specific tasks;
The Mayor:
- ensures the equipment of volunteer emergency services according to the norms, with technical means of fighting fires and with specific personal protection equipment, with fuel, lubricants and other means needed for intervention operations, including food and antidotes for participants in long interventions;
- ensures the performance criteria are met in establishing the volunteer emergency services.
Moreover, the Ministry of Interior Order no. 718/2005 for the approval of performance criteria regarding the organisational structure and the equipment of volunteer emergency services, modified and extended through the Ministry of Interior Order no. 195/2007, stipulates: "The volunteer emergency services will be equipped with specialised vehicles (fire trucks) in such a manner that one fire truck corresponds to maximum 2000 household/single-family homes."
