Fire cabinets
Generalities
Fully equipped fire cabinets are used in order to equip companies and their premises with means for a first intervention in case of incipient fires.
Technical features
The fire cabinet consists of a closed metal cabinet with the following contents:
I. Standard version
- fire cabinet
- sand box 0.5 cubic metres or 1 cubic metre
- two shovels with wooden handles
- two firefighter’s hooks with wooden handles
- two firefighter’s pick-axes
- two crowbars
- two buckets (10 l each)
- two extinguishers with permanently pressurised powder (P6)
II. Version including external hydrants
- fire cabinet
- sand box 0.5 cubic metres or 1 cubic metre
- two shovels with wooden handles
- two firefighter’s hooks with wooden handles
- two firefighter’s pick-axes
- two crowbars
- two buckets (10 l each)
- two extinguishers with permanently pressurised powder (P6)
- two type “C” hose reels (20 m each) with couplings
- one type “C” nozzle with fixed “C” coupling
- one ABC type coupling spanner
- one portable hydrant
- one hydrant key
